SCRAPZ.BIZ CHALLENGE COMPETITION

Scrapz Do or Die

In September/October we will be running a new fun competition called Do or Die at Scrapz.biz.

It is mandatory that you will sign up for this one.

Every week you will be given one challenge to complete plus a number (eg #4). You have to upload by a specific date, however the gallery will not be public. You will not be able to view it until after the closing date and you will not know how many people have uploaded before you.  If your entry is that week's particular upload number (eg #4), you will be out of the comp.  However, should someone not upload by the due date, they will be automatically disqualified and there will be no sudden death for any of the other contestants that week.
You may enter two layouts per week to avoid sudden death, however, you only have one extra life.  This means that if you have to rely on your second entry one week to survive, you cannot use that life line again.

First round starts on Monday, September 3, 2012.
Sign-up closes at midnight on Sunday, September 2, 2012.

The prize for the last scrapper standing will be a $100 prize pack.

GREEN TARA DESIGN TEAM CALLOUT

Design Team Callout

We are inviting applications from anyone who would be interested in joining the “Green Tara” Design Team.  If you love using flowers, ribbons, lace etc in your scrapbooking and papercrafting, then we would love to hear from you.  The term will be for 6 months, beginning 1st October 2012.  Successful applicants will commit to 2 projects per month, including tips and techniques as part of their post.  As well, you will need to have, and also maintain & update, an active personal blog and facebook page.   In return for your commitment to the Green Tara DT, you will receive a generous amount of product to use.  So if you think you are up for the challenge and would like to be part of our team, we would love to hear from you.  Please send us:  1.     Three recent layouts/projects that show us your style and talent and what you have to offer. INSPIRATION FOR MULTI-PHOTO SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUTS

Do you ever see a gorgeous layout in a Scrap Mag using one photo only that you just love and try to scraplift it and apply it to your pages using multiple photos?  It just doesn’t work out does it?  Looking for ideas for layouts using more than 3 photos on your pages?  Here is a Blog that can help you get some inspiration for your multi-photo layouts….MULTI-PHOTO SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUTS GALLERY.

Anyone can contribute their layouts to this blog – it showcases pages using 3 photos or more.  No strict criteria to adhere to like the Scrap Mags; no having to use the latest products and techniques; all you need to do is use 3 photos or more on your layouts and you too can be published!!

12 HR SCRAPBOOKING SUPER CROP - NORTH BRISBANE

A 12 hour Scrapbooking Super Crop will be held at Burpengary (North Brisbane) on Saturday 1 September, commencing at 10am and going through until 10pm.

The crop will be held at the King Street Players Theatre at the Community Hall on the corner of Old Bay Road and Maitland Road, Burpengary.

The cost of the day will be $50 and includes all meals (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner).  Any special dietary requirements will be accommodated.  A shop will be available for any purchases you wish to make during the day.

SCRAPBOOKING RETREAT IN S.E. QUEENSLAND

NEXT RETREAT 12 – 14 OCTOBER 2012

NOOSAVILLE, SUNSHINE COAST

Have you ever wanted to just get away with a group of like-minded crafters on a weekend to spend a whole weekend scrapbooking? Come along and join us on one of our awesome weekends away, scrapping and working on your papercraft and off the page projects at great venues with delicious food, comfortable and affordable accommodation and lots of laughs from fellow crafters. All venues are in the South East Queensland area.

The next Retreat is scheduled for 12-14 October 2012 at the Ivory Palms Resort in Noosa, Sunshine Coast commencing on Friday afternoon at 2pm through to Sunday afternoon at 2pm. A whole 2 days to scrap!! Numbers are capped at 28 so please book soon to avoid disappointment.

Included in the cost will be a great class with Cathy Cafun including full kit on Saturday. Workshop and product demonstrations/promotions are conducted over the weekend, learning new techniques and gaining heaps of ideas and inspiration. There will be Challenges with great prizes to be earned by the winners; lucky door prizes, raffles and a few surprises. A generous scrap pack is distributed upon your arrival and includes Challenge materials. A shop is available to purchase your basic supplies. Pamper packages also available should you want to take a break from scrapping...and why wouldn’t you...we all love to be pampered!
